When do our perceptions about living the "American Dream" and being "normal" become challenged? Why through Reality TV of course! Using material generated from field interviews, testimonials, and workshops at drop-in centers, shelters and throughout the community, members of the zAmya Troupe are collecting stories that will be crafted into this year's "Reality Road Show". Using humor, language, and a song and dance number or two, we're cracking open the conversation that starts with the Homeless but also speaks to the current economic disparity that affects all of us. With this play, we seek to generate conversation in the community by putting a face to the conditions that many face as well as deconstruct it with a laugh or two. Words, wit, and definitely wisdom.
