Kateri Residence

St. Stephen's Kateri Residence provides safe and sober housing to American Indian women recovering from chemical dependency.  Kateri blends traditional recovery methods such as AA and 12-step with a focus on American Indian culture and spirituality as a means of healing.

We offer:

  • Housing for Native American Women
  • Recovery support
  • Healthcare with on-site nurse
  • Parenting classes
  • Family reunification assistance
  • Life skills including obtaining GED and financial management support
  • Help in securing housing and employment
  • Alumnae program with off-site housing support
  • Focus on Native culture including morning meditation and sage smudging, talking circles, community feasts, opportunities to explore spirituality, mentorship by community elders and alumni, access to ceremonies and powwows
