Housing Services

We offer comprehensive housing services for people who are unable to secure affordable housing on their own.  Program components include:

Rapid Exit Program
This nationally-recognized partnership with Hennepin County helps families and single adults move quickly from shelters into permanent housing.
*A special housing option for expectant mothers is available to first-time single moms to give them a safe and supportive place to move from the shelters.

Ex-Offender Program
We assist ex-offenders in transitioning back into the community by finding permanent housing and connections to education and employment.

Prevention Program
We help people facing housing crises avoid homelessness due to eviction or foreclosure with one-time financial assistance.

Kids Resiliency Education

Lacking coping skills in families experiencing homelessness, children act in unhealthy ways, leading to difficulties at home and school.  KRE teaches preschool-aged children and their parents skills to ensure a healthier future.  This programming is offered on a very limited basis at this time.

STRONG Program
This collaboration with Rueben Lindh Family Services and Wayside House is a five-year initiative of the Hilton Foundation.  The goal is to integrate housing, child development services, chemical dependency treatment, and mental health support to impact both homelessness and childhood development.
